Those dam curve balls

Well wouldn’t it be great if life was how we planned it, we plan and it happens. Everyone is happy. Well in this real world that we live in that doesn’t happen, well not to me anyway.

We have a vision, a goal, something that we want to achieve or we just want an easy and simple life (that’s me).

Plans

Most of us love to make plans for our future, a job, a career, family holidays, retirement whatever it is most of us have some sort of plan going on.

For a lot of us we have our short term plans what we going to do this month or this week or what we have planned for today, I got to say it I am a planner I love a plan I love to think I know where I am going, how to get there and what it is going to be like.

THOSE DAM CURVE BALLS

Then something happens THOSE DAM CURVE BALLS, now they were not in my plan, not at all.

Well I will get to the point, as most of you know I love to be out walking, get out there and I don’t even worry about the weather, just outside having a walk getting some miles in and generally making myself feel better.

That is what I was doing when that curve ball hit me and oh was that a hit, out walking, off to meet Jade, Cameron and the dog thought I get a few extra miles in by walking down to their house, I was off powering along and feeling great, most probably having a chat with myself. Then it happened I fell, shot forward and put my hand out ( total reaction) hit the ground and knew in an instant that I had done some damage, well the outcome was I had broke my wrist (left) lucky I am right handed, which resulted in an operation to fix the break I needed a plate and pins.

This is where I say a massive thank you to the nurses, consultants, doctors and everyone who I met and helped me in Prince Charles Hospital who did an amazing job on my wrist.

So I am out of action, not able to work, not able to train and yes feeling a bit sorry for myself and the first few days were very hard, apart from when I was sleeping, those painkillers were mighty strong.

Think and reflect

Everyday I have felt a bit better, I have relaxed and caught up on a large amount of programmes, but it has made me stop, and do something that I suppose we should all do reflect and evaluate.

Now I am more of a get out there and do than someone who reflects ,but I did I sat, I thought, I reflected, took stock and evaluated where I am with my life, where we are with Team RWR , and where I want to be and it made me really start to think.

So lets make a plan

The biggest part for me was Team RWR where we are going, where we want to go, what we want to do, how we want to work and what we want to deliver and how we are going to get there.

So let’s make some plans, as I said I love a plan and this one looks slightly different to the ones we had when I started that walk on that Sunday.

So keep an eye on what we will be doing in the coming weeks, months, and the future.

So ladies just look out for THOSE DAM CURVE BALLS they may change a lot more than what you thought first.
