Do we value our time?

When out walking I wasn't 100% sure of the route I was going to take, or how far I was going so I headed off and went into the direction of Cyfarthfa Park, which is a lovely park not far from where I live. I got to the park, was going along when a young lady walking her dog was coming towards me. We both said “good morning” . We stopped for a few minutes to chat, we agreed that it was a lovely day and we had far too many layers on. I went to walk on and she said:

“isn’t it lovely to have time to get out and about, I have just changed to part time and I really value the time I now have and intend to spend it doing what I enjoy”

This got me thinking….

Time is so precious and we never seem to have enough of it for what we really enjoy doing, there is always something more important than doing what makes us feel great.

I carried on

I carried on my walk and was stopped by a elderly gentleman and we chatted about the lovely colour of the flowers, and how beautiful the gardens looked. He told me he walks his dog around the park 3 times a day.

I still hadn’t made a decision of where I was going so I just kept going.

I said good morning to a number of people on my route, it was lovely to be out and about, to spend time doing an activity that I really enjoy and by the time I got back home I had walked more miles than I intended, so a big thank you to the young lady who planted the seed of how precious time is and making me appreciate my time today.
