Type 2 diabetes is a common condition that causes the level of sugar in the blood to become too high.
Here are some of the main causes for type 2 Diabetes:
Living with obesity or overweight.
Too much fat stored in or around your liver and pancreas – which can affect people of a healthy weight as well as people living with obesity or overweight.
Other factors that put you at greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes include high blood pressure, age, ethnicity and family history.
A lot of people when trying to reverse type 2 diabetes think they need to lose weight, when in fact you need to reduce body fat.
You can be the perfect weight, the perfect BMI but still have too much body fat, which needs to be reduced if you want to reverse Type 2 Diabetes.
Being more physically active every day.
This does not have to be extreme, I am not saying get to the gym everyday, or try to do 15 exercise classes a week ,or walk 15,000 steps a day.
My advice would be to look at your daily lifestyle and how you can make small changes. It could be walking a bit further than yesterday, doing 100 more steps each day.
Start by going to the the gym once a week.
Taking up 1 class a week.
Be mindful that there are natural sugars
Look at what type of foods you are eating and having amore healthy balanced lifestyle.
SMALL CHANGES CAN HAVE A MASSIVE EFFECT
REMEMBER PRACTICE MAKES BETTER
